12th Lake School Program
to be launched on July 3rd 2010
at Micky Bourke's Koroit Hotel 6.30pm start
$25 a head Ewen Baker to be inducted as Legend of the Lake by Shane Howard. Also Winter Workshop - fiddle, singing and Irish Language classes from midday on July 3 Launch will feature a bracket by Paddy O'Neill Award band Shanachie

The Koroit Lake School of Celtic Song and
Dance offers a week-long program of dance and music lessons, culminating in a final, grand concert and ceilidhe. Tuition includes fiddle, mandolin, banjo, flute, accordion, tin whistle, bodhran, harp, mandolin, 5 string banjo, Advanced Guitar and song accopaniment, DADGAD guitar, Guitar Basics, kids program, Youth Art and Recording program including Animations, James Joyce Ulysses Reading Group, Youth Concert, bodhran, Irish set dance, Irish Language, concertina, slow session, songwriting, Lake School Revue Spud Poets Award, Blackboard Concert, House Party, Maity Swallow Ceilidhe band and uilleann pipes, with sessions and ceilidhes every night. Beginner and advanced classes are offered with a number of top tutors - including session master - Paddy Fitzgerald. The event is held in January each year.
